"All Along The Watchtower" by The Dave Matthews Band

There must be some kind of way out of here
Said the joker to the thief
Too much confusion
I can't get no relief

Business men they
Drink my wine
Oh, and the plowmen dig my EARTH
None of them along the line
Know what any of it's worth

No reason to get excited
The thief he kindly spoke
There aren't many here among us
That feel that life is but a joke (ha, ha, ha...)

But you and I we've been through that, oh
And this is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now
The hour is getting late

And All Along the Watchtower
Princes kept their view
While all the women, all the women, all the women, came and they went
Barefoot servants, too
Outside in the cold distance
A wild cat did growl, la la la
Two riders were approaching
The wind began to howl
Yeah...

All Along the Watchtower
The princes kept their view, oh
While all the women came and they went
Barefoot servants, too
Outside in the cold distance
A wild cat did growl, la la la
Two riders were approaching
The wind begins to... howl.

The money safe
The thief he take
The money safe
The thief he take

NO REASON TO GET EXCITED!

Black Cat

Bad luck seems to follow you wherever you go,
It's like the,
Earth cracks under you,
As your tears begin to flow,

Tell them you don't want no more,
Wanna flick your tail and go,
Sick of being looked upon,
But they all want a show.

Silly things are so divine,

Oh dear black cat of mine,

Take my hand and cross this line,

Oh sweet black cat of mine.

Think of all that's wrong,

Then think of all that's right,

Fill it up with magic,

And dim candle-lights,

So tell them you don't want no more,

That you're sick of feeling cold,
You sleep alone in the alley,
But they all want a show.

You've never felt so fine,
Oh dear black cat of mine,

Come on here and sip this wine,

You'll forget all in time.

I'll fix your heart if you'll fix mine,

Play with Voodoo Dolls and vital signs,

We'll soar the stars on a broom,

And caterwaul to the moon,

So tell them that you'll take no more,

Just take your things and go,
Stretch your paws and take control,
And they can forget their show.

Simple things trouble your mind,

Oh dear black cat of mine,
Come on here and clear your mind,

Oh sweet black cat of mine,
Oh dear black cat of mine.

Icarus

Ambition was just a dream,
Thinking of what you could be,
Reach for the Sun, don't look down,
Never-mind your father's frown.

Oh Icarus, oh Icarus, oh Icarus,
Come down,
Come down.

They tell you about their mistakes,
Tell them you don't care,
You have your own piece of life,
You'll learn from your share.

Oh Icarus, oh Icarus, oh Icarus,
Fall down,
Fall down.

And you'll go down to the grave peacefully,
Knowing what satisfied you,
Happiness is really all you felt,
When your waxen wings began to melt...

The Psychology

Satan was made of fire. Adam was made of clay. The reason why Satan disobeyed God when He ordered him to prostrate before Adam was that he considered himself a superior being.....This much we know to be common in the three Scriptures.

But what was going through Satan's mind? What caused him to disobey his All-Mighty Creator, to whom he was so devoted, so loyal? Was it his pride?... Yes, Pride is indeed one of the main factors of his retaliation, but again, WHY? Where did this Pride come from? I am going to try and explore this question. Please note that all I write from this point onwards is purely my opinion, and freely criticizable and nothing that I write from this point onwards should be replicated as Faith.

It is possible that Satan felt it against the laws of what God had created to bow down before something inferior. This, in fact, is the reason why Satan used to worship God so dutifully in the first place. God, being Superior to Satan, had the "license" to be worshipped.
Now, when Satan was ordered to bow down before Adam, it went against what he believed. It went against his reasonings. He thought that it conflicted with the natural order of things. How could something which was below him physically, mentally and eternally.
Satan now began to question his own beliefs and principles. He hesitated. He disobeyed God, his Creator to see, in fact, if it were possible to do such a thing. At this point we assume that Satan came to know of his ability to think, to reason, to rebel. And what were the results of such a heinous crime? He was banished from the Heavens...
But Satan leaves satisfied. The very fact that he was ABLE to openly declare a war with God fills him with confidence. In Satan's mind, the natural order of things exists no more. He COULD disobey if he wanted. He COULD be Superior to his Creator.

What Satan neglects is the fact that he is Jinn-one of the beings to upon whom God has bestowed Free Will. He is brimming with his confidence and and desire for revenge against man. He has deluded himself into thinking that his vengeance is possible and that he can conquer God. Satan lives in a Fool's Paradise....
